What Commitment

An 11-year-old school friend of Emily’s was so touched by the hardship existing in Zimbabwe that she started to collect money for food. The girl asked for money for her birthday, saved some of her pocket money and raised money on various occasions. She proudly handed over € 500 to Advivia Zimbabwe. What a wonderful effort this girl made.
The money went to a small orphanage in the north of Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. After just one week, our staff in Harare brought the orphanage the food it needed. It was a huge surprise for the children and their carers. By video, the hard-working collector received their thanks and the children sang a a song for her. The fantastic thing about our projects is the proximity to the people. You quickly get appreciative feedback and can follow developments. An encouraging example of taking action yourself.
