My name is Alington Matsilele. I have worked since 2014 in partnership with Sarah Dilling through the Methodist Church of Berlin and upto today we are working together through Advivia, and Advivia Development trust Of Zimbabwe. We’re in a crisis as Zimbabwe and the world at large, due to the covid 19 pandemic. The government announced a lockdown and everyone is expected to be indoors to curb the spread of the pandemic. Its really unfortunate because most of the people in the country are informally employed. They survive from hand to mouth without any form of savings. So hunger is affecting many people, especially the rural communities. This is worsened by the fact that it didn’t rain so there was no harvest at all. I would like to thank everyone who donated in any way towards assisting some needy families. You made a significant contribution to their survival. May every hand that helped be blessed by our Almighty God. On behalf of all the Zimbabwean families you helped i say thank you. May the gesture of kindness continues to flow. The help some of you gave to the victims of cyclone idai is still fresh in our minds. We pray for you and you also remember us in your prayers.
